Branded Portfolio

I’m a freelance writer and editor with 15 years of experience making branded content. My a-la-carte, project-based, and retainer work spans article and blog writing, social post creation, agile editing, SEO and branding refreshes, website copywriting, PR and marketing positioning, research-driven assignments, and internal communications assistance.

I've collaborated with a breadth of publishers and advertisers—from Dotdash Meredith and Hearst to NBC, Lyft, Showtime, and Minted—and can fluently adapt my voice to suit any client's needs.

I'm a generalist, but subjects I love to cover include film and television, books, art, history, wellness, food and drink, mental health, death awareness, travel, pets, the natural world, and fashion.

My full resume can be found on LinkedIn, and I’m open to commissions—you can reach out to me here.

"Katie is a dream partner to work with. Her rare combination of editorial and advertising experience gives her voice an editorial tone with just the right marketing flavor, when needed. Her skill and experience writing across all platforms including print, web, and social media means that she has the acumen to tackle any project you have in mind. Katie is also an excellent researcher, and you can trust that she’s done the work to make sure what she writes is true and fair. Not to mention that she is super communicative, flexible, and unfailingly kind. Collaborating with Katie is always a pleasure, and I would know—we’ve been working together for almost a decade!"
